Since our humble beginings at the Rural St. shop in 2011, Sugarjones Bakery has taken great pride in offering beautiful and delectable sweet treats. We continue to be a trendsetter and innovator in the world of specialty desserts. We’re dedicated to our dream of always providing our customers an exciting and memorable experience.

Rockford’s first dessert bakery!
As a child growing up on the northwest side of Rockford, Kathryn would help her mother in the kitchen with all sorts of things. She grew up loving to cook and bake. So much so that her dream was to go to cooking school.
Fast forward to 2009. Kathryn started a small catering company that quickly turned into a baking company due to overwhelming requests for cakes & cupcakes. That meant it was time to work on recipes!
Kathryn started by creating a few great base cake recipes, and then set out to create a frosting recipe that was creamy, light, had less sugar, lots of butter and is smooth as silk. After about 9 months, and dozens of pounds of butter, she had it!! Sugarjones signature buttercream was born. ‘Cue angels singing’
Kathyrn easily taught herself how to decorate cakes, cupcakes and cookies. It was like second nature to her. She knew she had to come up with a clever, memorable, and fun name for the bakery business. What an ordeal!! But, one day after lots of tries she wrote down Sugarjones (sugar+jones=sugar craving) and in December of 2011 her first, little (and we mean little!!) shop on Rural Street was opened!
After 12 years of growth, Kathryn moved into the Riverside location which has been made into the sole location where you can find all her amazing sweet treats baked fresh daily.
The focus for Sugarjones is, and will always be, to bring delicious desserts to the Rockford area delivered with exceptional customer service all while giving back to our wonderful community who has supported us throughout the years.

WE BELIEVE IN GIVING BACK
Here at Sugarjones Inc., we feel that supporting our community is as vital as freshly baked cupcakes.
We do have a few guidelines and practices we follow before deciding which organizations/events receive a donation:
1. Must be a registered charity.
2. Must be able to provide documentation.
3. We do not donate to political or religious organizations and reserve the right to decline a request from such an organization at any time.
4. We prefer to donate directly to an organization and will only accept third-party fundraisers on a limited basis.
5. For large party donations, we reserve the right to decline the request unless assured sole representation of baked goods or the like.
6. We request, in writing (email is acceptable), what representation Sugarjones Inc. will be afforded in your advertising and promotion of the event.
All requests must go directly through this form and must be submitted no later than 30 days before the event to be considered.
